LPA - Health & Care Decisions and Finance Decisions

Lasting Powers of Attorney are documents in which a person (the donor) gives the power to another person (attorney) to make decisions on their behalf. There are two different types of LPAs - Health & Care Decisions and Finance Decisions. LPAs are registered with the Office of the Public Guardian and donors can choose to delegate the power to their attorneys from the date of registration or delay the delegation to a time that the donor becomes incapable of making decisions on their own behalf.
